Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk

Depart from your pick up location and travel through Robertson to the Illawarra Fly. We have a morning tea stop on the way at a convenient location.

The Treetop Walk is a unique attraction which enables visitors to experience a 1500 metre walk through beautiful warm temperate rainforest. The uniqueness of our attraction in comparison to other rainforest walks is that 500 metres of this walk is nestled in the treetop canopy some 20-30 metres above ground level. The walkway culminates in Knights Tower, a spiral tower that rises to a breathtaking 45 metres above the forest floor.

Then there are the thrills and challenges of two confronting swaying springboard cantilevers suspended 25 metres above the forest floor which take guests to the edge of the escarpment. After your tour of the FLY we travel back to Robertson Pie shop for lunch consisting of your choice of pie and tea or coffee. If you want anything extra from the bakery you may purchase it at your own cost, or lunch can be arranged at the Fly Café (cost on application).

Future World and Black Diamond Tour

Pick up from your designated place, proceed via the Princes Highway and Laurence Hargreaves Drive, at Seacliff Bridge we have a short stop (if coach parking available).

We then travel to Northcliff Drive, Warrawong (opposite Walker St, on the lake between Bunnings and the Yacht Club Phone 4274 2939). Here we have our morning tea stop where there is seating and toilets available. After morning tea we tour Future World.

We then travel to Sea Salt Café, Bulli Point where we have lunch at own expense. After lunch we visit Black Diamond Heritage Centre.

Located at the Bulli Railway Station, museum staff with a wealth of local knowledge will guide you through the collection of original Bulli Railway fittings and the life of the building.

The museum's focus is the preservation of the 1887 Bulli Railway buildings. On display is the South Bulli No 2 steam locomotive imported in 1888 and used until the early 1960's. In 1956 Queen Elizabeth boarded the train for her return trip to Sydney at this station.

The centre has a collection of maps and objects relating to local mining life and the Bulli Mine which once operated on the escarpment. The Bulli Mine was the first source of coal, colloquially known as black diamond, in the Illawarra which was transported along High Street and loaded onto a pier at Sandon Point. After our tour we make our way home.
